International Guest Speaker
Professor Ganesh Ramakrishnan leads BharatGen, one of the most advanced sovereign AI initiatives globally, building national-scale models designed for India’s languages, capability and infrastructure. BharatGen was born from a vision to create a future where advanced AI, grounded in a nation’s values, culture, history and languages can support how people connect, communicate and innovate.
As AI capability accelerates, decisions made now will shape Australia’s productivity, competitiveness and role in the global economy. This session moves beyond simplified narratives to explore how and why India has chosen its path and what that reveals about the different approaches countries can take to AI, and the implications for growth, investment, capability and trust.
