Paul Fletcher served in the federal Parliament for over fifteen years as Member for Bradfield. He had a prominent Ministerial career, primarily in communications and infrastructure, culminating as Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts in the Morrison Government. Before politics, his extensive private sector experience included eight years on the senior management team at Optus. While in politics, Paul championed the economic and social importance of Australia’s science, innovation and digital economy sectors. This remains a key interest of Paul’s in his post political work; accordingly, he was pleased to be appointed a director of the Tech Council shortly after leaving the Parliament.
